We don't know if Ahsoka wants him helping her. Seems like she wants him to focus on the temple
Perhaps, but couldn't Ezra help with that?
We don't know where he is
Well yes, that's why I thought Luke could help find him...
Luke went on archaeological explorations he wasn’t needlessly risking the order going extinct by being killed by some random fraction.
Besides that, Luke’s Jedi don’t have any authority within the new republic as enforcers of the law. Slicing someone’s arm off and telling a crowd of people it’s just Jedi business isn’t going work. Luke’s Jedi aren’t going around destroying solar systems with sun crushers without facing execution by the new republic governing bodies.
Anything deemed a mission would probably be exactly that, a religious mission to spread the word of the Jedi and grow the order. Luke traveling to some back water planet and spending some time assisting the local population in receiving the aid they need from the new republic for a famine, plague or dealing with pirates.

I've love more content like this, and more of his Jedi students just going out in the world to make a difference.
I don't know, weren't some of the "archeological explorations" he went on somewhat dangerous, like in Battlefront? Didn't he and Ben encounter the Knights of Ren on one such mission?
I'm not sure how you made the leap from finding Ezra to being "republic enforcers" or "destroying solar systems with sun crushers".
And wouldn't finding Ezra help to grow the Jedi Order?
I'm not saying he HAS to go but is it really that unviable?
Not if it's still deepfake Luke.
Even still, he should be off doing his own thing, starting his Jedi Academy. Tbh, Grogu shouldn't have left imo, I was excited for the next season of Mando, now he's back to having a Diues Ex Machina limpet.
I agree, Grogu leaving Luke SO soon after being found by him makes the journey to Luke feel completely pointless.
I was looking forward to Din’s next chapter without the burden of The Child, but now we’re right back where we started. I’m much less excited for Mandalorian S3.
Felt this very strongly too. Seemed to render 2 seasons of mando plus the drama of 2.8 moot, while depriving Luke of a possible legacy as a teacher.
All valid points.
I think more Luke actually having a legacy as a teacher in-universe is not only cool, but *required*. The character deserves it. So, some way of him connecting with the next *surviving* generation of Jedi would be an important corrective to what we've got so far.
Personally I feel little closure with his death in the ST, since he never was much of a teacher to the next generation of Jedi. All that is *left for Re*y, and seemingly the entire Grogu arc was a misdirection. I confess BOBF6 was a huge letdown, probably made me less enthusiastic about the franchise than I've been since the sale. (Who knows, there may more than meets the eye, and future connections between Luke, Grogu, and Mando. But I don't think I will get my hopes up.)
I think a scene of Luke and Ahsoka discussing Anakin, with her realizing that Luke redeemed Anakin, like that [awesome comic](https://i.redd.it/e1k8k9787l861.jpg), would also be wonderful and meaningful. And what a way to bridge the PT and OT eras in the most beautiful way.
So, done right, two together would be great, whether the search for Ezra or whatever. I can imagine ways it might not be done right, either, but that's another discussion.
I kind of worry that now, Ahsoka will get much of the adventuring mystical Jedi stuff that was Luke's legacy in the EU (Filoni compared her to Gandalf), while Luke will be stuck in the rut of his failed temple. He deserves more than that imho.
Also, you should probably add spoiler tag. I did a similar thing about BOBF last month and it spoiled it for somebody, fwiw.

I hope they do something like that although I wonder if they want to skip the emotional scenes like that. In her Mando episode I wondered how Ahsoka knew what caused Anakin to fall and then in BoBF we see that she and Luke know each other already so her meeting redeemed Anakin and Luke for the first time seems to have happened off screen. Maybe will see those moments happen in the Ahsoka show? Also with Grogu being gone that could free up Luke to aid Ahsoka against Thrawn.
I feel almost exactly the same way you do. I'm not very optimistic but I wanted to float some possibilities. We'll see if any good comes out of the Mandoverse. Ezra happens to be my favorite character and I'm curious as to his ultimate fate, we'll see if it makes sense, let's hope...
We'll see my friend!
