Abandoned Machinery, Romania
By - drgrxdsdaa
Thanks. I was gonna post something along those lines as well. :)
Jolly green giant lying on his back
more like sad little foot
Nier Automata vibes
Very Horizon Zero Dawn
I was sure that this was an horizon's sub when I first saw this image
Looks kinda like a fallen robot with overgrown vegetation
Kind of what it is ain’t it
She has such a way with words
"it's tighter than dick skin"
Shit Gronk, mine be broken cause that shit just slide around the bone.
You're right, it literally is a robot.
An arm trying to lift itself up after faceplanting
i saw the same thing
*NO NO NO NO, WHAT ARE YOU-- Okay, don't panic, she's still dead.*
$15,000 I know what I have
Actually, That'd be a steal.
In the current condition? For Soviet era machinery?
probably not... but as someone in the market for a 3.5T digger... you'd be shocked at how much people want for the things, even ones in that condition
What's the maintenance like on a used one?
Do you have a mechanic that maintains your equpiment full time, or does someone come out as needed?
mine have been pretty reliable so far, I've got 2 small mini excavators and a skid steer. Both are old ("soviet era" would describe them) but low hours and I went through them top to bottom when I purchased them.
I do all the work myself.
Gotcha. That's how I would handle it myself, bring them back to spec and go from there.
Tell the truth. Did you do donuts in them when you first got them? Those things are just cool.
they are a ton of fun. We got a lot of snow over the last 24 hours and I've had a blast removing it.
haha nice!! I'm totally jelly. I've driven old 16 ton forklifts, but never anything zippy like that. They look like fun to operate. I'd look for any excuse LOL
Never did I ever think I would hear a 2-3 ton excavator be described as zippy, but here we are.
Heavy industrial equipment has no expiry date. You could probably get that running.
That's a fallen EVA
I feel the need to crawl into the cabin of that thing and hide in there
10,000 bugs and 3 venomous snakes like this post.
There are actually only three venomous snakes residing in Romania. Very accurate comment, I commend you, sir!
I try my best to share my knowledge of danger noodles
Just needs a new distributor cap. That’s it, have it up and running in a day. So said my deceased Dad. Several dead cars in his yard, one had a sapling growing out of the hood.
Classic Midwest, project car up on blocks beside the other project car, which houses an entire family of raccoons
Anyone else think this was the iron giant rising from his long slumber?
These are the kinds of fossils that will be discovered thousands of years from now if humans ceased to exist
This also looks vaguely like a stripper heel
He is emerging
I'm pleased to see the construction equipment industry going green.
Oh finally, the weed dick
Hopefully that's not kudzu. That shit is impossible to get rid of.
Kudzu, the Eternal, the Hungerer, the All-Devouring.
If that were kudzu then that'd only be about 15 minutes of growth.
If they said the picture was Georgia (the state not the country) I would disagree with it been abandoned, it would just be a picture on Monday after not using it for the weekend.
Looks also like a dogs ass! But its so cool
reminds me of bastion (from overwatch)
Stay back, Hexus is probably trapped in there.
Its abandones because they all came to the UK to work 🤣
Is it just me or does this have r/Bossfight vibes?
Right arm of a robot that failed to get up
Reminds me of Horizon zero dawn
Pretty sure [Marty T](https://youtu.be/sFudJ2yIBJE) could get it running
This reminds me of Creepshow
I kinda want to find a way to sit inside, if the windows are still in it.
I think it’s a boat
Definitely need a 23 minute ASMR YouTube video of someone fixing this by hand and driving it away.
23 minutes of someone swearing and then attempting to start an old diesel is probably about as far from asmr material as you can get.
Nature claimed it.
Boss music in the distance
it looks like an abandoned mech, with its arm trying to lift its body out of the ground.
With abandoned stuff I always wonder who was the last person to drive it, and why was it just left? Like did it breakdown and nobody could afford to fix it? Idk I just want to know what happened?
on a lot of cases, the excavator was paid for in the price of whatever job it did. Left wherever it is after job completion.
A strange thing i notice though, not many abandoned machinery/cars salvaged for scrap metal. Unlike other metal objects left outside which is almost promptly taken away by 'scrap artists', these hulking objects basically remain intact despite the amount of high quality steel in them.
Reminds me of The Quest
give it a few more weeks it'll become a hedge sculpture
If future humans are as dense as we are this will have them firmly believing there was a race of robots competing with us for resources.
The last Bastion
My favorite thing on YouTube is people breathing new life into machines such as this.
It looks like a robot getting up but died while doing so
I don’t think this is in Romania... A piece of metal to last that long in the wild? No way!!!
Looks like that legs toy in toy story
Back to the mud.
Looks like kudzu. That might’ve grown during lunch break.
All the Romanians are in the UK
Thats an high heel
It... looks like it's swimming. In vegetation.
Reminds me of Breath of the Wild
I’m playing Horizon: Zero Dawn and this is familiar.
To me, it looks like a giant trying to get up
Excavator eats the forest, the forest eats the excavator. It's the circle of life.
