I had a bunch of seasons of Supernatural in it. You can stream it now so I just chucked them out. Waste of money I know, but I was never going to use them again.
It kinda sucks seeing people just chuck out CDs. When I was shopping for my truck I explicitly looked for options that included a CD player because of how nice it is to not have to futz with my phone to play music.
You can pry my CDs from my cold dead hands.
Yep, same. I just put a new radio in my 2002 crv this last year after the stock ones cd player broke. I made sure the aftermarket one I picked had a CD player too. I still burn mix cds lol
I did something similar with old boxes from baseball cards, the type with a lid an three rows inside. I seem to have found seed collecting more interesting than the baseball cards.
On this topic, are there are videos on youtube you guys can recommend for how to start collecting seeds? Is there a process?
I definitely like how dark it would keep them. Throw in a couple of desiccant packets every 5 or so pages and you’re set if you keep them in a cool place.
Amazing idea, though my old CD bags are still full of burnt CDs I made in 2004, though I can probably clear one out by chucking the disks that don't play or make me cringe.
Oh a SEED-y case. Very nice
Oh man.. that pun is riiiight up my alley, I love it!
Where once there were Red Hot Chili Peppers there are once again red hot chili peppers, tis the Circle of Life
Huh, havent thought of that. What did you do with CDs? Considering I spent a small fortune on them, seem weird to throw out

I still use cds every day in my car. But I love this idea I see these all the time at the thrift market

I use one for our seeds also! And my truck is old and has a cd/tape combo, so I have one for cds in my truck too lol
And here I thought you were storing your seeds in your cd/tape combo
*that's* my germination-station
See-D case
damn I just threw away my old case. What a great repurpose.
I use a small binder that once held my Pokémon cards 😀
I hope it still says Gotta Catch Em All on it!
I use a binder with photo sheets. Works well.
Mind blown
You brilliant bastard.
Good idea, might be better to use paper bags/envelopes instead of plastic though.
Yeah, that was my thought too. Moldy seeds are sad seeds.
No thanks, I’ll keep mine in use for my ancient unused CD and DVD collection
...but I still use them... I work in IT though.
Oh really? Data back ups? Old software install discs?
Old driver discs for older systems we're still running (and should really phase out, but it's not my decision), random software, drivers, some data.
I keep my seeds in a binder with baseball card sleeves. Makes it easy to flip through and see what I have.

Thought this was drugs
The hobby can be addicting.
them some hot tracks you got there.
Card collection binders are better.
Where do you store the case?
The CD-case case
Recursion
I put it in the pantry. I havent actually ever looked up proper seed storage before
In my experience if you don't keep them in the freezer they won't last more than a few years. Just like CD-Rs and DVD-Rs actually.
Just not true. If kept dry and in a cool place they last many years even if they aren’t in a freezer.
>In my experience It is true. You cannot deny me my experience. Or can you. Silly Crosser. You are soo silly :)
I saw the my experience bit and thought about an edit but left it. I’d suggest you weren’t storing seeds very well if you had that problem ;-)
I freeze my seeds in carbonite a la Han Solo
I suggest you go check on some of those older seeds you think you stored so well. Regular viability for pepper seeds is only a few years.
I’m good thanks, have germed 5+ year seeds many times. Been growing a while.
Lol, because all mine are full of thousands of video games. But yeah, nice idea.

C DeeZ …
That is an awesome idea. I'm pretty sure I have an unused CD case or two somewhere that I could use for this. Thanks! :D

Good idea. I use an old photo album book.
Brilliant move, talented sapient
I’ve been using film canisters for 30 years and you can’t make me stop.
Genius Idea does anyone have an extra CD case I threw mine away when it didn’t sell at the garage sale lol
You cans still put a cd in 😁that sleeve
